WE'VE GOT MAIL!!

I've not really been using the computer very often recently, only now and again have I felt up to it. Been spending more time visiting the cardiac unit at the local hospital. Fortunately they've had a new wing with all the necessary equipment, added specifically for heart patients. As it's only about 14 miles for me to travel it's a lot less stressful than driving for five hours there and five back,to a specialist hospital in London. I'll be there again tomorrow for, hopefully, the not too nasty results of last week's tests. Could be it's only pericarditis and medication, rather than any other procedure will get things right again. Now you know why I keep appearing and disappearing, so, fingers crossed, I may be around again soon David

 EXERCISE PROGRAM

Don't you think it's time we all became more physically active?

Beginning 2007, a few friends and I will be riding 5 miles every day.
If any of you would like to join our Bike Club, please let me know and we can make arrangements.

I think it would be appropriate to ride somewhere between 4:00 and 7:00pm.  We can call it happy hour, if it will make you say yes.
I have enclosed a photo of my bike at the bottom of the page!!

Received this from Florida Marie, all it said was Lena's throw (I'm guessing Lena brought it for Marie.  In any case it's absolutely gorgeous.

My prayers are going out for your hubby.... almost the same thing happened
to Clint a few years ago...he had a valve replacement and is now doing
great!!!  Well, as great as he can, being a man he has a lot of
complaints...arthritis, sore feet, back pain, etc.... anyway, good luck to
you and yours.

Dish soap aprons

Here's some pictures of dish soap aprons, with directions for making them.

This one is made from material, lace, and whatever else you want to decorate it with.

Pillowcase dresses

I was also curious to know what a pillowcase dress is, so I cranked up the Google search engine.  Below are a couple of links, that have directions on how to make them.  They also have some pictures of them.  If you want to see more, just type pillowcase dresses in the Google search bar.

You can use real pillowcases, or material.  This is perfect if you come upon a pillowcase with embroidery on it, or a fancy laced hem (like the vintage ones).  The flowered pillowcases also make adorable summer dresses for babies, and toddlers, or you can put a long-sleeved shirt under it for cooler days.

Below is another link to see some a lady made.  She also has a link for directions, which has elastic around the neck, instead of ties (she doesn't like the idea of ties around a baby's/child's neck).  Her directions are quick, and simple.

I wish I would have had these directions when my daughter was a baby, and toddler.  They're so quick to make, and they're very inexpensive (unless you buy a real vintage pillowcase).  You don't even have to hem them, unless you decide to use material, instead.  All of the thrift/Goodwill stores sell pillowcases, and most yard sales.  They look so cool, and comfortable, and you can make cute or fancy ones.

Now we know what they are.

Hugs,
Emma
